Connect a professional XLR microphone, or a wireless microphone receiver, to the headset jack of your iPhone or iPad. Provides a separate headphone output for monitoring the playback levels of the recording, if your App supports Live Monitoring; such as VeriCorder's Voddio editing software App for iPhone or iPad. This product will also work with any other audio or video recording Apps for iPhone, iPod touch or iPad. For more information on the Voddio App please visit the App Store.
The XLR Adapter includes a preamplifier circuit with 6.1dB gain that allows a low-impedance dynamic microphone to be used as a high quality audio source for recording on the iPhone. The preamplifier also includes RF noise suppression circuitry to enhance the quality of the recordings.
The XLR Adapter is also compatible with many self-powered condenser microphones and will work with other brands of smartphones, that have a similar 3.5mm TRRS headset jack.

Finally an excellent solution to connecting pro quality mics to an iPhone or Blackberry for double-enders. The preamp is excellent and powers up from the phones. We replace the headphone connector with a 1/4 inch female so we can plug in IFB cables. It works best with the 125 ohm receivers.
